Recovery words
When you sign up, the market gives you a recovery phrase. It is the only way back into an account whose password is lost, which makes it both valuable and dangerous.
- Write it on paper and keep it offline, away from the machine you log in from.
- Do not photograph it, do not put it in cloud notes, do not paste it into any web page.
Important
No real login, and no honest support, ever asks for your recovery words. The phrase gets an account back. It is never needed to sign in. Anyone who asks is trying to steal it.Updated 2026-07-13
